Dubbed “A Moment at Tianya”, the medal draws inspiration from the classical Chinese verse “As the bright moon shines over the sea, from far away you share this moment with me.” The obverse of the medal is composed of two distinct yet harmonious sections.

The upper part is circular in form, symbolizing the poetic image of the sun and moon rising from the sea. At its centre is the official emblem of the Games, combined with the iconic “Tianya Stone” element, representing Sanya’s history, culture, and regional identity. The lower part features flowing, overlapping curves that artistically echo Sanya’s winding coastline, gentle waves, and stretches of sandy beach, casting a vivid coastal landscape in metal form.

The reverse bears the emblem of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA). Along the edge of the medal, the words “Welcome to Sanya” are clearly inscribed, conveying the warm invitation of the host city.

The ribbon adopts the official colour palette of the Games, interweaving deep ocean blue, sky blue, coconut green, beach yellow, and sunshine orange. These five colours represent the ocean, sky, nature, beaches, and vitality, respectively, expressing the design theme of “All Phenomena Under the Sea.”

The accompanying medal case is equally distinctive, inspired by the shape of seashells found in Sanya’s coastal waters, highlighting the city’s unique maritime character and tropical charm.

Born of the sea and thriving by the sea, Sanya's natural and cultural identity is fully reflected in the medal design. Centred on the essence of beach sports, the design weaves together the city’s signature elements of sunshine, sand, and ocean, embedding them in every detail.

The Games will be held from April 22 to 30, with a total of 63 gold, 63 silver, and 63 bronze medals to be awarded. The Games are Hainan's first-ever continental multi-sport event since the province's establishment, as well as the first major international sporting event to be held after the official launch of the island-wide special customs operations of the Hainan Free Trade Port (FTP).
