Chen Wei, Venue Operations Manager of the Tianya Haijiao venue complex, noted that overall operations are running smoothly and have essentially met the operational standards required for the official competitions of the Games.

He explained that the venue operations department is responsible for coordinating venue support, maintaining infrastructure, and handling general operational matters. The department comprises five specialised teams working collaboratively across various functional areas.

With increasingly comprehensive infrastructure and service arrangements, the Tianya Haijiao venue complex now offers solid support for the smooth hosting of the test event.

Meanwhile, to assess and address the issues from that day’s competitions in a timely manner, the Tianya Haijiao venue operations team holds daily evening review meetings.

Looking ahead, Chen Wei mentioned that his team would continue to enhance staffing plans, logistics management, and the usability of facilities and equipment. By continuously fine-tuning operational specifics and closing existing gaps, they strive to achieve the complete service and operational standards required for the Games.

With more comprehensive facilities, more meticulous services, and more efficient operations, the venue will be well prepared to host Sanya 2026.
