On 21 February, Sanya Airport Customs under Haikou Customs cleared the first batch of competition materials for the 6th Asian Beach Games Sanya 2026 (the Games), further accelerating preparations for the upcoming event.
The shipment, mainly comprising beach volleyball equipment and competition flags to be used for training and event operations during the Games, left Thailand and was transferred through Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport before arriving at Sanya Phoenix International Airport. Sanya Airport Customs collaborated with Guangzhou Baiyun Airport Customs, the 6th Asian Beach Games Sanya 2026 Organising Committee (SABGOC), the Port Supervision Division, and SF International to establish a multi-party coordination mechanism.
A dedicated green channel for Games materials has also been activated, supported by measures such as advance declaration, appointment-based clearance, and immediate release upon arrival. These arrangements ensure a streamlined inspection and release process across all stages
The 6th Asian Beach Games will be held in Sanya from 22 to 30 April 2026. As the first major international multi-sport event held in Hainan after the implementation of island-wide special customs operations of the Hainan Free Trade Port, the Games hold particular significance.
To support the event, Haikou Customs has implemented various facilitation measures, including establishing a dedicated service window for Games materials and optimising procedures for customs transfer, inspection, and release. These initiatives aim to ensure efficient and seamless clearance for Games-related goods and personnel, providing high-quality regulatory support to facilitate the successful staging of the Games.
