On 29 April, the men’s water polo event at the 6th Asian Beach Games Sanya 2026 (Sanya 2026) concluded, with Iran winning gold after a penalty shootout against China, decided by 5-metre throws.  

China claimed silver, while Kazakhstan secured bronze with a 3–0 victory over Korea.

Six teams participated in the event, which used a round-robin format, with final standings based on points.

Iran also secured gold in the men’s beach kabaddi final on 27 April, defeating India 44–31.
