The 6th Asian Beach Games Technical Officials Meeting was held on 23 March, featuring online and in-person participation.
The meeting was held to provide technical delegates for each competition sport with detailed, up-to-date information on Games preparations, while also collecting professional feedback and suggestions.
Delegations engaged in in-depth discussions on key aspects of Games organisation, further strengthening professional consensus and establishing a solid base for the successful delivery of the Games.
Technical delegates of the Games are experts appointed by International Sports Federations (IFs) or Asian Sports Federations under the authorisation of the Olympic Council of Asia.

They have been nominated to the 6th Asian Beach Games Sanya 2026 Executive Committee (SABGEC) to offer expert guidance on competition rules and technical standards for each sport, ensuring that the Games' preparations meet the criteria set by the Olympic Council of Asia and the relevant international federations. Their role is crucial throughout the entire preparation process.
Prior to the meeting, technical delegates and competition directors visited Sanya to inspect the competition venues and on-site facilities. They engaged in discussions with the relevant departments of the 6th Asian Beach Games Sanya 2026 Organising Committee (SABGOC) and offered expert recommendations on event preparations, contributing to the smooth and efficient organisation of the Games.
During the meeting, relevant departments of the SABGOC, including the IT Department, the Games Services Department, and the Transport Services Department, delivered detailed briefings on the progress of preparations.
Key updates were provided on core competition elements, including the competition schedule, venue readiness, results information system consistency testing, and event scheduling.
In addition, explanations were provided regarding Games-time service arrangements relevant to technical officials, such as catering, accommodation, transportation and logistics, security accreditation, and medical services. This was followed by a Q&A session.
