3×3 Basketball

Originating from street basketball, 3×3 basketball has gained immense global popularity and became an official Olympic sport in 2017. The event is widely played in Asian countries such as China, Japan, the Philippines, Mongolia, Iran, and Indonesia.

Matches are played on a 15 m × 11 m synthetic court with a single basket. Each team consists of four players (three on the court and one substitute). Scoring differs from the traditional 5×5 format: shots beyond the arc are worth two points, while those inside the arc count for one point.

Games last 10 minutes, and the team leading at the end of regulation time, or the first to reach 21 points, wins. If tied, an untimed playoff is added, with the first team to score two points declared the winner. After securing a rebound, the defending team must clear the ball beyond the arc before launching a new attack, whereas the attacking team can continue shooting immediately after a rebound.
