The project is located in Sanya’s Shangbaopo Village in Jiyang District, 5.2 km. from the High Speed Rail station, 9.5 km. from the Sanya Bus Station, and 8.9 km. from the Sanya City Government. The area is relatively flat, facing Luobi Cave Park on the East, Baopo Rd. in the West, the Hainan High Speed Rail East Line in the South, and the Hainan Round Island Highway in the North. The project includes a gym, swimming pool, and other basic sports arenas, as well as a public exercise plaza, sports park, and other extended facilities. 

Main construction specifics: 

1. A 40,000 seat sporting arena, occupying a proposed area of under 70,000 m2, including a regulation soccer field and  8 regulation track & field arenas, as well as discus, hammer throwing, javelin, and shot put venues 

2. A 12,000 seat (with 2,000 movable seats) stadium occupying a proposed area of under 50,000 m2  where basketball, badminton, weight-lifting, and other international individual and mixed competitions can be held.

3. A 40,000 seat swimming arena occupying a proposed area of under 30,000 m2  where swimming, diving, water polo, synchronized swimming, and other domestic and international singles and mixed competitions can be held. 

4. A People’s Exercise Plaza occupying a proposed area of under 20,000 m2  including a basketball court, volleyball court, 5 man soccer field, tennis court, and spaces for other outdoor activities.

5. A Sports Park occupying an area of 32,000 m2. The Sports Center plan should meet top international competition and China professional sporting league requirements, as well as give consideration to industry operational use after the end of the competition.
