The closing ceremony of the 6th Asian Beach Games Sanya 2026 (Sanya 2026) will be held at Yasha Park at 20:00 on 30 April.

The closing ceremony, “A Starry Night,” reflects the principles of hosting the Games in a clean, shared, open, and honest way, while also meeting the standards of efficiency, safety, and spectacle.

Focusing on the theme of “Youth, Friendship and improvement,” this piece draws creative inspiration from concepts such as “Asia as One,” “Harmony in Diversity,” and “A Community with a Shared Future for Mankind.”

According to organisers, the ceremony will be divided into three primary acts: the sporting ceremony, a cultural performance with the extinguishing of the flame, and a beach concert, totalling 12 segments.

The overall duration will be around 60 minutes, including 34 minutes for the sporting ceremony, 4 minutes for the cultural performance and flame extinguishing, and 22 minutes for the beach concert, with possible adjustments during the event.

The cultural performance and flame extinguishing segment will be showcased in two thematic chapters: “Friendships that Last” and “Home at Tianya”.

The ceremony uses thematic and artistic storytelling to express the idea of an Asian community with a common future, encouraging audiences to feel emotionally connected and resonant.

The performance “A Starry Night” embodies the hopes of Asian communities for peace, unity, and inclusiveness.

Blending the spirit of sports at Sanya 2026, the vitality of Hainan Free Trade Port (FTP), and the youthful energy of Sanya, the closing ceremony will present a lively and optimistic vision to the world, showcasing a shared commitment among Asian nations to progress together and create a brighter future.
